The Warrior Blends: Spice Blends
The Warrior Blends is an Indigenous-owned small business in Quebec, creating gourmet spice blends with foraged, seasonal ingredients. Many of the ingredients are some of what First Nations in what is now called Quebec had been using medicinally and culinarily for millennia.
All blends use 100% natural ingredients, are non-GMO, and free of any preservatives or gluten.
Traditional - This is a traditional recipe from the Wendat-Huron First Nation. It includes two types of 100% pure maple sugar, alder pepper, balsam fir shoots, Myrica gale, sweet smoked paprika, sea and hickory salt, garlic, and onion. Try this seasoning on fish, poultry, meat, and eggs, or in marinades and dressings. You can also use it as a rimming salt for your caesar!
Tomahawk - This smoky, spicy artisanal blend offers the perfect balance between sweet and heat! A traditional recipe from the Wendat-Huron First Nation, it is 100% organic, and made with Quebec dune pepper, ghost pepper, balsam butterfly, beaumier fir, garlic, sweet smoked paprika, sea and hickory salt, and granulated onion. Try this on fish, poultry, pork, meat, cheeses, eggs, and in dressings and marinades.
Bacon Pepper - This delicious, decadent spice blend is perfect for any time of day. At breakfast, put it on your eggs, quiche, potatoes, scramble, or anything else. At dinner, put it on your grilled or steamed vegetables. It's fabulous anywhere you'd normally use black pepper. Made with Quebec Green Alder peppercorns and Hickory smoked salt. Yum!
